McPherson University, located in Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, is set to host its 2nd Inaugural Lecture, a significant academic event focusing on Nigeria's contributions to international peacekeeping and regional security. The lecture promises to provide thought-provoking insights into the country's evolving role in promoting peace and stability across Africa and beyond.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Francis Adegbaye Igbasan, invites members of the academic community, policymakers, students, and the general public to this intellectually engaging event.
The lecture will be delivered by Professor Kenneth Chukwuemeka Nwoko, who will speak on the topic: “Nigeria’s Peacekeeping and Regional Security Engagements since 1960: Balancing National Interests and International Commitments.”
The event is scheduled to hold on Monday, 20th April, 2026, at 2:00 PM prompt at the Stephen & Hannah Obaro Multi-Purpose Hall, McPherson University, with guests expected to be seated by 1:30 PM.
