The Federal University Oye-Ekiti's Directorate of Educational Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship has announced the rescheduling of Vocational Skills Development Practical Sessions for 100-level and 200-level students.
This announcement was made through an internal memorandum issued by the Director of DETIE, Engr. Olarewaju P. Ogunjobi, on 16th March 2026. The practical sessions are a crucial part of the university's entrepreneurship education programme, aimed at equipping students with practical vocational and innovation skills.
The new schedule for the practical sessions is as follows: Date: Friday, 27th March 2026 and Saturday, 28th March 2026 Venue: Entrepreneurship Centre, Oye Campus (for Oye Campus students) and Entrepreneurship Centre, Ikole Campus (for Ikole Campus students) Time: 8:30 AM on Friday and 10:30 AM on Saturday
The practical sessions are part of the assessment for the following entrepreneurship courses: ENT 101 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship (for 100 Level students) and ENT 211 – Entrepreneurship and Innovation (for 200 Level students). The practical component of these courses carries 40% of the total assessment score, making participation in the practical sessions mandatory for all concerned students.
Students have been strongly advised to attend the sessions as scheduled, with attendance being recorded. Any student who fails to participate in the practical sessions may face academic sanctions in accordance with the university's regulations.
The Directorate has urged all academic units to ensure that the information reaches the appropriate stakeholders, with departments expected to notify their respective students promptly to ensure full participation and compliance.
