The Federal University of Lafia has announced the appointment of new Heads of Departments and the renewal of several acting directors. This move is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency across the institution.
Prof. Ogwola Idoko Robert has been appointed as the Head of the Department of Public Administration, while Dr Labulo Ayomide Hassan will serve as the Head of the Curriculum Development Unit in the Directorate of Academic Planning, for a one-year period.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, also approved the renewal of appointments of acting directors and heads of units across key departments of the university for a period of one year.
According to the Registrar, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, the approvals are part of ongoing efforts by the university management to reposition its administrative and academic structures for improved service delivery.
The statement further disclosed that Mr Adekogbe Qudus has been appointed as Acting Bursar following the expiration of the tenure of the Bursar, Dr Daniel Anjola Wilson, on May 5, 2026. Qudus is expected to serve in the acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Bursar by the University’s Governing Council.
The university management reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring effective leadership across all units to support the institution’s growth and development.
