Enugu State University of Science and Technology has received approval from the National Universities Commission for five new undergraduate programmes.
The approval is effective from the 2026/2027 academic session and follows a thorough resource verification exercise conducted by a panel of experts. This exercise assessed the availability of human and material resources for the proposed programmes.
In a letter signed by Abubakar M. Girei, Director of Academic Planning, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, the Commission gave the green light for the introduction of the following B.Sc courses at the university's main campus.
The Commission has clarified that the approval is currently limited to the full-time mode of these programmes and does not cover part-time delivery. The university must notify the Commission for further processing and approval before commencing part-time or postgraduate components of any of the approved undergraduate programmes.
The NUC has urged the university to ensure adequate provision of human and material resources to support the effective development and growth of the newly approved programmes.
