Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic: 2nd Semester Exam Timetable…

Oct, 28Views: 12

Students are hereby notified that the examination timetable for the second semester of the 2025/2026 session, applicable to all Consultancy Programme candidates, has been posted on all notice boards.

The exams will run from Monday, 2 November, through Wednesday, 18 November 2026.

Learners are urged to adhere fully to the examination regulations outlined in Section 9 of the Student Handbook.

Please also take careful note of the essential points listed below:

  • 1. Appear for each exam carrying your student identity card and proof of fee payment; no excuses will be accepted for failing to prove your enrolment from the first day.
  • 2. The roll‑call for every test will be drawn from the roster of students registered for the specific programme as recorded in the Course Report Form; those taking extra time or carrying over must unmistakably identify themselves upon entry.
  • 3. Write your personal information on the answer booklet as soon as you receive it, which prevents the need to add those details after the booklet has been submitted.
  • 4. Test sessions are divided into a morning slot (9:00 AM – 12:00 NOON) and an afternoon slot (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM); punctual arrival is compulsory, and the Student Handbook states that entering more than 30 minutes after the start will result in the exam being voided.
  • 5. Bring only your identification documents and writing tools into the examination room; bags, mobile phones, ear‑pods, smart watches or any other personal items are deemed examination misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly.
  • 6. Inspect yourself and the area before you sit down; any exam‑related material discovered on you will be recorded as misconduct.
  • 7. Any grievance about an exam must be lodged prior to the test; protesting inside the hall constitutes a breach of peace per the Student Handbook. Direct concerns to the Head of Department or the Dean of Examination and Research (DEMR) promptly.
  • 8. No individual may sit for an exam on your behalf or impersonate you; the offender faces expulsion, while the impersonated student may also be expelled and the perpetrator could be arrested.
  • 9. Obstructing or resisting examination invigilators is an offence that may lead to expulsion.
  • 10. Adjustments to exam dates, venues, or invigilators may be made by the DEMR for logistical or security reasons, with notifications issued through official channels.
  • 11. Lecturers are generally not assigned as invigilators for their own courses unless DEMR gives a special appointment, and they may only clarify the paper within the first 30 minutes after it starts and the last 30 minutes before it ends.
  • 12. No staff member may remove you from an exam for outstanding departmental dues, textbook fees, lab coats, assignment submissions, or similar charges. Once your school fees are settled and proof presented, no further payments are required for exam eligibility. Report any attempts to eject you for these reasons to DEMR immediately.
  • 13. You are entitled to sit your exams in a calm environment; likewise, respect fellow candidates by maintaining silence. Depart the room promptly after finishing, and avoid lingering in corridors, verandas, or windows.
  • 14. Dress modestly at all times; avoid crop tops, shorts, sleeveless garments, or clothing lacking proper undergarments.

In brief, steer clear of any form of examination malpractice as defined in the Student Handbook to prevent severe penalties. Best wishes for success in your upcoming examinations.

Thank you!
