The management of Sa’adu Zungur University has released the adjusted academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. Students and staff are advised to take note of the following key dates for the first and second semesters.

FIRST SEMESTER Resumption and Registration will take place from Monday, January 5th to Sunday, January 18th, 2026, spanning 2 weeks. Late Registration is scheduled for Monday, January 19th to Friday, January 23rd, 2026, lasting 5 days. Lectures for all undergraduate students will commence on Monday, January 5th and conclude on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, covering 13 weeks. Matriculation and Orientation for new students are set for Wednesday, January 28th, 2026. The Ed-el-Fitr Celebration will be observed from Monday, March 16th to Friday, March 20th, 2026, over 5 days. A Revision Period is allocated from Monday, April 6th to Friday, April 10th, 2026, lasting 1 week. The Good Friday and Easter Monday break will be from Friday, April 3rd to Monday, April 6th, 2026, covering 2 days. The First Semester Examination is scheduled to take place from Monday, April 13th to Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, over 3 weeks. Following this, the First Semester Break will commence on Monday, May 4th and end on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, spanning 5 weeks.

SECOND SEMESTER The resumption and registration for all undergraduate students will occur from Monday, June 8th to Saturday, June 13th, 2026, lasting 1 week. Lectures for all undergraduate students will run from Monday, June 8th to Saturday, August 29th, 2026, covering 12 weeks. The Democracy Day Celebration is set for Friday, June 12th, 2026. The GST Examination will take place from Monday, August 31st to Friday, September 4th, 2026, over 1 week. The Second Semester Examination is scheduled from Monday, September 7th to Saturday, September 19th, 2026, spanning 2 weeks. Afterward, the Second Semester Break will commence on Monday, September 21st and conclude on Saturday, December 12th, 2026, covering 12 weeks. Additionally, the Independence Day Celebration will be observed on Thursday, October 1st, 2026.
