The Enugu State University Students Union Government has provided an update on the NELFUND disbursement. In a statement signed by the president, the SUG addressed the current concerns and agitation regarding the disbursement.

The president appealed to students to remain calm and patient, acknowledging the frustration and discomfort many are facing. The SUG has made necessary representations, and progress has been recorded.

According to the update, all cleared names from the Bursary were sent to the president, who has duly approved the payment. The Bursar is expected to commence payment to beneficiaries who have paid their fees by Monday afternoon.

The SUG has pleaded for a period of grace until Tuesday, after which they will escalate actions if there is no visible response. The University Management has also been urged to expedite the release of funds to rightful beneficiaries without further delay.
