Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti has announced the schedule for its 30th Convocation Ceremonies. The events will take place from Tuesday, 7th April, 2026, to Saturday, 11th April, 2026.
The convocation ceremonies will begin with the Vice-Chancellor's press conference on Tuesday, 7th April, 2026, at 11 am at the New Senate Chamber. This will be followed by the Convocation Play at the Main Auditorium, University Campus, at 2:00 pm.
On Wednesday, 8th April, 2026, the Convocation Lecture will hold at the Main Auditorium, University Campus. The lecture, titled 'Power, Responsibility and Stewardship: Balancing the Barricade with Governance,' will be delivered by Prof. Ayodeji Oludare Omole, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
Other events scheduled for the convocation ceremonies include an evening with the Vice-Chancellor and awards of excellence in research and sports, a debate, convocation meeting, and alumni dinner.
The award of sub-degree and first-degree certificates, as well as the presentation of prizes, will take place on Friday, 10th April, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Main Auditorium, University Campus. The conferment of postgraduate diploma, master's, and doctorate degrees, as well as honorary degrees, will hold on Saturday, 11th April, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Graduands are required to visit the university's website to confirm their names. Academic robes will be available for collection from faculty officers/secretaries of colleges/programmes from Tuesday, 7th April, 2026, upon payment of the prescribed charges.
To pay for the academic robes, graduands are to log in to the university's portal, click on 'Certificate/Transcript,' create a profile, and follow the prompts to make payment. The deadline for the submission of academic robes is Friday, 17th April, 2026.
Graduands who have completed their clearance will be eligible to collect their certificates immediately after the convocation upon payment of the prescribed fees. The requirements for the collection of certificates include the original statement of result/notification of result, student's identity card or letter of identification from the department, two recent passport photographs, evidence of payment of the prescribed fees, and evidence of clearance from the university.
