ENERGY CHANGES

What do you know about energy changes in chemistry and the equations related to it

Multiply numbers that are close to 100 with ease

#Examples
>>> 92 * 96

#Step 1: Subtract 100 from both of them
>>> 92 - 100 = -8
>>> 96 - 100 = -4

#Step 2: Cross add the result to the numbers
>>> 92 - 4 = 88
>>> 96 - 8 = 88

#Step 3: Add two zeros to one of them
>>> 8800

#Step 4 (final): Multiply the results in #step 1 together and add it to the result in #step 3
>>> (-8 * -4) = 32
>>> 8800 + 32 = 8832 (Answer)

Pretty cool isn't it?

Try this
>>> 94 * 104

Multiply numbers that are close to 50 with ease

#Examples
>>> 48 * 46

#Step 1: Subtract 50 from both of them
>>> 48 - 50 = -2
>>> 46 - 50 = -4

#Step 2: Cross add the result to the numbers
>>> 48 - 4 = 44
>>> 46 - 2 = 44

#Step 3: Add two zeros to one of them and divide the result by two
>>> 4400 / 2 = 2200

Multiplying any number by 25 with speed

#Rule: Attach two zeros to the number them divide by 4

#Example
>>> 25 * 36

#Step 1: Attach two zeros
>>> 3600

#Step 2: Divide by 4
>>> 3600 / 4
>>> 900

Multiplying any number by 15 the fastest way

#Rule: Attach 0 to the number and add halve of the result to the original number.

# Example
>>>68 * 15

#Step 1: Attach zero to the number
>>>680

#Step 2: Add halve of the result (e.g halve of 680 = 340) to the result
>>> 1/2(680) + 680
>>> 340 + 680
>>> 1020

Quite simple and fast isn't it?

By this time "28th February, 2015", the 2015 UTME organized by JAMB which would be strictly computer based would commence. While some serious candidates are through with the entire syllabus of their core subjects, others are yet to even register for the forthcoming exams. Registration closed 30th Jan.
